Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs

The second largest city in Colorado, yet a place that has retained the spirit of a small town in the 1880s when it was the first ski resort known as “Little London” because of its international clientele. This is an intimate and sophisticated town, with the very distinguished Broadmoor Hotel, the ultimate in terms of elegance of yesteryear with Pikes Peak in the background. Stylish restaurants and nice cafes abound. Nearby, Manitou Springs, and place thermal artist community is also very nice, with galleries and pedestrian streets; there is cogwheel train to go to the summit of Pikes Peak. Visit the campus of nearly 73 km2 of the U.S. Air Force Academy (and its military chapel consists of 17 arrows very sharp) and the U.S. Olympic Complex (where are training swimmers and fencers), both at entry free. Finally, discover the wilderness as Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the red rocks of Garden of the Gods (Garden of the Gods) and the huge Cave of the Winds (caves).
